Tong Liya, born on August 8, 1983 in Chapuchar, Ili, Xinjiang, is a film and television actress and dancer in Mainland China. In 2006, Tong Liya entered the entertainment industry by starring in the emotional drama "New Love". In 2008, she rose to prominence for her role as Zhao Feiyan in the costume drama "Mother of the World". Since 2011, Tong Liya has gained more attention with the time-travel drama "Palace Lock Heart Jade" and the romantic drama "Beijing Love Story"; and she has volunteered as the image ambassador of the Xibo ethnic group. In 2014, she won the 13th Huading Award for Best Actress in China's Top 100 TV Dramas for her family drama "Weaning".
